In the early days of my blog, I posted one of my first “ranger” outfits, using the Short Elven Robe cosmetic. When I look back at that post I can’t help laughing. I did come a long way since then.
Because this cosmetic robe is only available from Anniversary boxes, I decided to go back to that outfit, and redo it. This time with proper graphics, showing a bit more of the lovely details that array this wonderful cosmetic piece. If you are a cosmetics collector, this is about the only time of year that you stand a fair chance to obtain this robe. During this festival I only found two robes on the Auction House myself and looted one from a Westfold Anniversary box, which leads me to believe that it only drops from high level boxes. In case you assumed that all cosmetics that drop from those boxes are trash, you are mistaken. This one is a rare and much sought after item.
I rarely find use for the Ranger Green dye, but this item is all about ranger green. The robe itself cannot be dyed, only a small trim on the inside is dyeable. I don’t know why it’s called “Elven” robe as I don’t think it is specifically Elvish, but rather very suitable for men and women scouts, hunters or rangers. With still a few days left of the festival, there is still time to hunt down this robe!
Regarding the Shoulders of Fèm I should mention (again), that these have a darker coloured brown rim on male characters than on females. On female characters these shoulders look exactly like the generic crafted cotton shoulders. On male characters the dark brown rim and dark antique silver brooch make them look special.
If you want to know where a certain armour piece or cosmetic comes from, you can look it up on Lotro Wiki, by typing its name into the search box. You can equip any piece of armour cosmetically through the wardrobe, even armour that is not meant for your class or level.
