Trickster

My Lore-master is of course not your typical crippled hunchback that would often fulfill the role of a Jester at a court, but she holds her own when it comes to entertainment nonetheless! After a few days of picking piles and piles of flowers she finally got rewarded with the Steed of the Jester. Truth be told, I found the flower picking rather tedious and boring. In fact so boring that I fell asleep on my keyboard! And this didn’t happen just once but twice even! The things we do for steeds…

So now that she’s got her Steed of the Jester, I’m done with picking flowers! I’m just going to continue to enjoy the other parts of the festival. I still need a lot of fortune cookies and some garden items, so the shrews are not rid of me yet!
The hat in this outfit shares appearance with the Shadow-stalker Hemlet from the Burglar Helegrod set (also available at the cosmetics vendor). The shoulders share appearance with the Lothlorien Hunter Lady Discernment set.

If you want to know where a certain armour piece or cosmetic comes from, you can look it up on Lotro Wiki, by typing its name into the search box. You can equip any piece of armour cosmetically through the wardrobe, even armour that is not meant for your class or level.

  1. Yay, congrats on the horse-drop! Awesome use for that hood, it’s perfectly jester-ish!

I did one round of flower-picking the other day and I could barely stand it… but on the other hand that is a pretty nice-looking horse… Well, better get out my gardening gloves and have another go at it! :P

    • Though I actually like the flower picking idea itself, doing it for an hour is just way too long for my taste. I wish they would have made it a bit easier, especially since there is no guarantee that the horse will drop, even after hours of flower picking :(

  2. congratz on the horse, it’s really pretty! as well as the outfit, and I love the hood too! :)

I did one round of flower picking on my hobbit lass when I realized I don’t want the horse for her, but rather for my hobbit lad. “luckily” I got no horse from gift-boxes, so I’m gonna give it more tries :D

    • You can grind on just one character and pass on the boxes (that can be traded). You can even stockpile Festival Tickets from different characters and send them to one character only. Though personally I never managed to do more than 2 hours of flower picking in a day, and have mostly only done one hour, so stockpiling tickets doesn’t help much if you’re not going to use them.

  3. Pointy

I’ve found before that the flower picking quest does get very tedious, especially because the flower patches themselves seem to be concentrated in a small area, and the respawn isn’t that great (and they despawn if someone else picks them).

The outft and horse look great, a good match. :D Your screenshots are awesome, they’re always so clear and clean, and the timing on that first one is perfect. ;) What do you use to take them, they’re not done ingame, are they?

    • The horse is actually pretty and quite simple compared to the ornate horse tacks we’ve been seeing lately. My loremaster didn’t have a 68% horse yet so she loves it! I think the bells are supposed to jingle but I haven’t heard them. Perhaps this is because some sound channels got mixed up with the last update (suddenly my minstrel is screaming in my ears!).
