Cosmetic Lotro

Gold clad

Last week the Treasure Hunt was on and I have enjoyed myself immensely with this event! I hope it returns often because I would love to have all those emotes and on all my alts. I am really very pleased that an important effort has been invested into creating something enjoyable for casual players. During the event I picked up all of the available cosmetics, one of which is the Treasure Hunter’s Rucksack that drops from treasure caches.

All this gold digging inspired me to create a truly “golden” outfit for my captain who owns the Pale Golden Summer Horse. Not all items in game dye a nice lustrous gold, as many of them turn a bit grey and dull, but the captain armour from Helegrod that is available at the Classic Skirmish Barter has a beautiful golden shine. The Worn Ranger’s cosmetic items that are rewards from Epic Volume III Book 5, all dye in very nice bright colours (contrary to the Grey Company cosmetics that are all rather dark). I like how this outfit turned out as it looks rather shiny!

If you want to know where a certain armour piece or cosmetic comes from, you can look it up in the Lorebook, by typing its name into the search box. You can equip any piece of armour cosmetically through the wardrobe, even armour that is not meant for your class or level.

Head: Worn Ranger’s Hood, gold dye (Volume III, Book 5 reward, cosmetic)
Shoulders: Leather Shoulder-guards of the Leaping Stag, sienna dye (Dunland quest reward, medium)
Chest
: Scalemail Jacket, gold dye (heavy armour vendor, Esteldin)
Hands: War-captain’s Gloves, sienna dye (Helegrod Captain gloves, Skirmish Barter)
Legs: War-captain’s Leggings, sienna dye (Helegrod Captain leggings, Skirmish Barter)
Feet
: Worn Ranger’s Boots, gold dye (Volume III, Book 5 reward, cosmetic)
Back: Treasure Hunter’s Rucksack, gold dye (Treasure Hunt drop, cosmetic)

Horse: Pale Golden Summer Horse, Summer Festival 2010 Mount

  1. This is so unique looking! I think the most unexpected thing for me is how amazing the shoulders look with the old scale chest piece. Great outfit!

I spent some time doing the treasure hunt but alas didn’t get any of the unique items that only come from treasure caches. Maybe next time! :)

  2. Absolutely wonderful, one of a kind. (: I especially like how the shoulders match the legs and the hood that looks like it comes out from under the shoulders. Awesome outfit!
